First Stop: Layover in Seattle where Lael and Tyler picked us up from the airport for some food and REI...ummmm the Spaghetti factory is not as good as I remember it as a kid:) I still love the sourdough though.
Day 2: Rocky Reach Dam
Day 3: Hiking to the top! We always hike to the top of the hill behind my dad's house. Its actually pretty difficult because there are no real trails and therefore no switchbacks! Susie and Tyler wanted to come along and Tyler made it all the way to the top by his self...Susie needed some help from her dad. On the way down I caught a shot of my dad on the tractor!
Day 3: Amyah, wee golf and the fire interpretation trail! After our hike in the morning, we all headed on over to Entiat for some Wee Golf action with the kiddos...its their favorite part about coming to grandma and grandpa's house! And then took a walk on the fire interpretation trail. It was pretty great weather on this day and the pictures turned out great. I especially like the one of my dad with the hills and the lone tree in the background.
Day 5: Kevin chops wood and Moroni drives us to to the Orondo Cider Works...Tyler is looking pretty cool sitting in the back of the truck with Moroni drinking his hot spiced cider! When we got back, we headed out to load up the wood Kevin chopped and then the kids got to ride home in the back of the truck! So fun!
Day 5: The Bamboo Shoot for dinner in Chelana. The kids love this place because they get to watch their food being made. I like the picture of grandma Megan holding Amyah in the air! It looks like she's singing to her!
Day 6: Amy, Kevin and the kids go home (really early). Time for some real fun! (just kidding). The hatchery down the road was getting ready to clean out one of their ponds so we were able to fish for free without a license and catch as many fish as we wanted to! With the help of a jig and some power bait we pulled in 25 trout in under an hour! We also visited Dudley the sheep and shopped in Leavenworth.
